Payment for Services
Our policy is to receive payment at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
We are not in-network with any insurance plans.
The health insurance environment has recently become cumbersome and time-consuming, with relentless requests for out-of-network physicians to write medical necessity letters and provide reasoning behind the recommendations of natural treatment vs pharmaceutical drug treatment. We no longer honor those requests. We will provide a receipt for the office visit upon request, with the understanding that insurance denials are becoming standard. The receipt is useful for a Flex Spending Account, Health Savings Account or for your income tax records.
As a courtesy, our office will provide the CPT procedure codes and your ICD-10 diagnosis codes for lab testing on your lab requisition forms. We do not write letters of medical necessity for lab testing. In general, insurance coverage from PPO plans remains excellent.
We do not bill Medicare, and Medicare will not provide reimbursement to patients because we have chosen to "opt-out" of the Medicare program.
Scheduled appointment cancellations
Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time are charged a fee of $150.
